Financial worries, bereavement, disability, illness, family issues, bullying, work pressure, trauma, faith issues (amongst many others) can induce stress, depression and anxiety. This can manifest in many ways including debilitating physical conditions, such as chronic fatigue (SFS), self harm and suicidal thoughts. Being able to explore these issues with a professional therapist can facilitate the healing process and help to rebalance your life.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. Insured and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My approach to individual therapy is relational and integrative. This means that I am able to respect the autonomy of my clients and their unique needs by drawing upon a range of different psychotherapeutic approaches such as psychodynamic, person centered and humanistic therapies and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), I offer short term, time limited and long term therapy depending on individual needs.
I have a wealth of life experience, gained through my previous careers in business, charities and mental health. This has enabled me to develop a specialist interest in mental health in the workplace.
